DRONE COMMAND CENTREFLEET · CREW · COMPLIANCE

CASR Part 101 · MOS Chapter 10

Nothing flies until the gate says it can.

Drone Command Centre is the operations, compliance and CRM platform for Australian commercial RPAS operators. Crew currency, aircraft airworthiness, airspace and paperwork resolve into a single decision your Chief Remote Pilot signs — before the job, not after the audit.

No card charged during the trial · Unlimited pilots and spotters on every plan · Priced per organisation, not per person

Record-keeping
Seven years, write-once

Releases, operational logs, pilot logbooks and RPA technical logs are retained under object-lock storage, not left in a shared drive.

Eligibility engine
One source of truth

The same currency and airworthiness rules drive the roster, the conflict checker and the release decision. They can't disagree.

Airspace
National dataset on board

Airspace volumes, aerodromes, helicopter landing sites, approach splays and 3 NM boundaries ship with the app and refresh automatically.

Pricing
Flat per organisation

Only seats that create work are metered. Pilots, spotters and viewers are unlimited and free on every plan.

The spine of the product

Four inputs. One decision. A permanent record.

Australian commercial operations need a written release, approved before flight, and an operational log after it. Drone Command Centre makes that the centre of the app instead of a form you remember to fill in.

Crew
RePL and ARN valid, medical and inductions in date, recency met, endorsed for this operation type.
Aircraft
Serviceable, maintenance not overdue, no open defect, batteries within cycle and health limits.
Airspace
Operating area checked against airspace, aerodromes, landing sites and vertical limits at your planned ceiling.
Documentation
Risk assessment, JSA and pre-flight checklist complete and signed by the people who had to sign them.

RELEASE
GATE
— — —▸
Released
The CRP issues a written release naming crew, aircraft, area and conditions. The job moves to the field.
Withheld
The gate names the blocker and who can clear it. Nobody argues about whether the paperwork was done.
Operational log
Flight time flows into pilot logbooks, aircraft hours and battery cycles the moment the job closes.
Retained
The whole chain is immutable and exportable, so an audit is a download rather than a fortnight.

What's inside

Every module an ReOC holder actually runs on.

One platform for the work, the crew, the aircraft and the evidence — instead of a scheduler, a spreadsheet, a logbook app and a folder of PDFs that disagree with each other.

Jobs & the job wizard

A six-step build for every job: details and brief, legality check, job area, risk, JSA, attachments, sign-off.

  • Client-ready and crew-ready job sheet PDFs
  • Toggleable brief blocks — parking, comms, PPE, meals, contacts
  • Pipeline from enquiry through to completion

Schedule

Jobs, crew and equipment on the same board, with conflicts surfaced before they become a phone call.

  • Drag and drop across day, week and month
  • Double-booking and eligibility conflicts flagged live
  • Crew accept or decline from their own view

Crew & credentials

Roster, profiles, qualifications and currency in one place, with expiries that chase people instead of surprising them.

  • RePL, ARN, endorsements, medicals, inductions
  • Onboarding packs, contractor agreements, NDAs
  • Pilot logbooks fed from real flight data

Training & competency

A built-in LMS with the competency matrix your CRP needs to answer "who is signed off for this?"

  • Courses, assessments and re-training dates
  • Site-specific inductions per client
  • Matrix view across the whole crew

Safety

Risk assessments, safe work method statements, permits and incidents, all versioned and matrix-scored.

  • SWMS / JSEA and permit-to-work
  • JSA per job with hazard library and controls
  • Incident and hazard reporting with follow-up

Inventory & maintenance

Aircraft, batteries, payloads and kits with custody, serviceability and a defect trail that survives staff turnover.

  • Check-out and check-in with who holds what
  • Battery cycles and health tracking
  • Scheduled maintenance, defects and serviceability board

Airspace map

Draw the operating area, set your ceiling, and see what actually applies to that volume — not a generic red circle.

  • Controlled, restricted, danger, prohibited and military volumes
  • Aerodromes, HLS, approach and departure splays, 3 NM boundaries
  • Powerline and national park overlays

Flight logs

Ingest flight records natively, so hours and cycles come from the aircraft rather than from memory.

  • DJI flight-log ingestion with cloud back-link
  • KML and PDF export per flight
  • Automatic feed into logbooks, hours and battery cycles

Analytics & reports

Utilisation, release outcomes, crew currency and fleet hours, ready to hand to a client or a regulator.

  • Fleet and crew utilisation over time
  • Release and blocker trends
  • Exportable compliance reporting

Weather window

Live conditions and the full forecast timeline for the site, reachable straight from the job.

  • Wind, gusts, rain, cloud, temperature and storm overlays
  • "Weather at site" from the job wizard
  • No key or account to configure

Travel & itinerary

Remote jobs come with flights, cars and beds. Plan and attach the itinerary to the job it belongs to.

  • Trip planning tied to the job record
  • Crew see travel alongside their tasking
  • Costs stay attached to the work

Field app

Crews check in, run checklists and log flights from the phone in their hand at the site.

  • Job pack and brief on the device
  • Pre-flight and post-flight checklists
  • Flight logging back to the office record

ReOC compliance tiers

Specialised operations without a separate system.

Operations beyond standard daytime VLOS carry their own crew, equipment and documentation requirements. The gate knows which ones apply to the operation type on the job, and refuses to release until they're met.

  • Night VLOS — lighting, crew composition and additional currency requirements enforced per crew member.
  • EVLOS Class 1 and 2 — observer qualification, comms plan and training records checked before release.
  • Over or near people — the operation type drives the risk assessment, not the other way around.
TIER 1

Standard operations

Daytime VLOS work under the operator's ReOC, with the ordinary crew, aircraft and airspace checks applied on every job.

TIER 2

Night VLOS and EVLOS

Adds observer roles, class-specific qualification and communications requirements to the eligibility rules for the operation.

TIER 3

Over or near people

The highest-exposure category, with the corresponding controls required in the risk assessment before a release can be issued.

RECORDS

Retention as a default, not a task

Releases, logs and logbooks are held for seven years; training records for three. Nobody has to remember to archive anything.

How you run it

Same application, three ways to host it.

The product doesn't change shape depending on where it lives. Start on a laptop, move to managed hosting, or own the thing outright — the data model and the gate are identical.

Trial & demo

On your own computer

Extract, double-click, sign in. Nothing to install beyond Python, no account required, and the airspace dataset comes with it — useful for evaluating the gate against your own jobs before you commit.

Standard

Hosted by us in Australia

Managed hosting on Australian infrastructure with encrypted document storage, object-lock retention on records that carry a retention obligation, backups and updates handled for you.

Perpetual licence

Self-hosted, owned

Buy the Team or Business tier outright and run it on your own infrastructure. One-time licence, first year of maintenance included, then an annual maintenance fee for updates and support.

Plans

Priced per organisation. Pilots are free.

Charging per person punishes you for putting an extra spotter on a job. Only seats that create work — admins, coordinators, Chief Remote Pilots — count against your plan.

Fourteen days, no card charged

Run one real job through the gate.

Load your crew and aircraft, build a job, and see what the release decision says. If it doesn't tell you something you didn't already know, don't buy it.
